Hans-Joachim Goehtz, Chairman
Hans Joachim Goehtz is appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IVC Venture Capital AG. He is also a board member at Close Brothers Seydler AG and a member of the supervisory board at Mader Capital Resources AG. From January 1998 to Spring 2004 Mr. Goehtz was the Chief Executive Officer of ICAP, Germany. Previously, from 1994 to 1997, he worked for National Westminster Bank in both London and Frankfurt and was responsible for developing the markets in Continental Europe.
From 1972 to 1994, Hans-Joachim Goehtz held various positions in offices of Deutsche Bank throughout Europe including London, United Kingdom, Brussels, Belgium and Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, Germany. After working as a currency dealer in Frankfurt for several years he moved to Brussels to take over a leading role in the companies Treasury. In 1989 he became director with full power of attorney in the Frankfurt office, where he was responsible for monetary, currency and precious metal trade of Deutsche Bank.
Björn Pirrwitz, Deputy Chairman
Björn Pirrwitz is a co-founder and managing partner of Novum Capital.
Prior to co-founding Novum Capital Björn Pirrwitz was self-employed, running his own advisory business. Prior to that he was a Co-Head of Lazard & Co. in Frankfurt. Björn Pirrwitz started his professional career as a lawyer with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York and Paris. Subsequently he held executive positions with Treuhandanstalt, the German privatization agency, and with a German midcap company.
Björn Pirrwitz studied law and economics at the universities of Saarbrücken, Bonn, and Geneva, graduating with a JD. He also received a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law, Austin, TX.
